I leave for Florida in 4 days. I call it my old people vacation (that I welcome gladly). While I’d like to think that I’ll be lounging effortlessly deep in thought all while looking fiercely styling, it’ll be more flip flops and American Apparel then patent leather and Preen. So we all know tights are not pants. But it’s safe to say that boots are the most rocking pants EVER. These are from Stella McCartney’s most recent line. They’re so tranny futuristic.

I’ve waited a while to post this for some inane and inexplicable reason. Canadian readers rejoice!
[When] asked when Topshop will be opening in Canada, Sir Philip Green, owner of the megachain that has some 2,000 stores in 30 countries, replied: “Six to nine months.” via
If anything like the Topshop New York debut, we can add another 8 months to that.

It seems Ungaro picked up where Balmain fell short this season. The Fall 2009 collection was full of all the exuberant elements you’ve come to love lately without being repetitive or uninspired. I’m keen on the wicked combination of prints, the bandage elements, the exaggerated pockets and even the studded leggings. See a few more of my favorite looks on the next page. I had to stop myself though so you might just want to check out the entire collection via.

The Balmain Fall 2009 line was much a continuation of this year’s Spring collection, and for that it fell under heavy scrutiny. The similarities are clear as day. But unlike many, I can’t harp on this because the woman Christophe Decarnin tries to embody with these looks is endlessly enthralling. This time around, the acid torn jeans were replaced with cleaner slacks and upped by exaggerated jodhpurs. The razor sharp band jacket silhouette was replaced with ten times the sparkle and one can only assume, twice as much fun. I haven’t yet had a closer look at the buckle laced boot but they likely fall short from the infamous studded crystal sandals from Spring 2009. No doubt a fantastic line, but the pressure is on for next season.

Jack & Jil once again brings a beautiful style focus on Leigh Lezark outside the Dior Show. I’m truly a Leigh fangirl.
