Irena Lazareanu is whimsical beauty on the runway - but on the streets she’s just one of the boys.  To the left she dresses down menswear inthe best way possible; and to the right she channels John Galliano at a Christian Dior Fashion show.

We kept busy on a rainy and gloomy Saturday with dinner at Japango and The Art of Clairtone exhibit at the Design Exchange. Japango is a quiet little restaurant tucked away off Dundas on Elizabeth with seating for 20 people max. It’s packed to the brims with comforting aroma and solid Japanese decor. The Chefs are the kindest I’ve encountered so far, and to boot, they wear cravates with their full on chef wear. Presentation is flawless and bite size rolls and sushi pieces make me actually want to eat raw fish – next time I’ll skip the slippery Udon Noodle and go straight for the this sample platter.

The Art of Clairtone exibition was as beautiful as anticipated. The exibit guides you through Clairtone’s Torontonian roots, and it’s glamorous rise and fall throughout the 1960s. Visual focus strings Clairtone pieces together with popular 60’s design asthetic. Most notable, for the purposs of this blog, are the circa 1960 Christian Dior evening gown and the circa 1961 psychedelic Pucci Jumpsuit. Oh the joys of my Sony 5 megapixel cameraphone. The exibit is on through October 13, 2008 – 5$ Entry.

Hi guuuys! OMG check it out, I’m so amped about MOB’s Fall 2008 campaign that I nerded out and made a cool jpeg with arrows pointing to my favorites items! Leah McSweeney is the founder of Most Official Bitches and at 25 years young, she run tings. Her clothes undeniably evoke that bitching NYC street aesthetic and “confident, sexy, females taking over the world holler”. Any woman who ends her sentences in ‘holler’ is alright in my books.

Fall 2008 Marc by Marc Jacobs isn’t just off the deep end, it’s off the hizzey!  I had a seriously hard time determining my favorite looks for this season.  Of course I’m mostly attracted to least interchangeable piece in the collection.  Save me captain, because I’m about to jump ship and knab that final look down below.

New York fashion week is underway.  The blogs are flushed with tidbits and reviews.  This clip is all I can manage at the moment since I haven’t even begun to think about my Fall 2008 wardrobe, let alone Spring 2009.  So for the masses, this heckler standing outside the Bryant Part tents is DELICIOUS.  The industry should hire him – always.

As I sit here with visions of Kelly Kopowski and Steve Sander running through my mind, I can’t help but gasp. Is this really true? Is L.A Gear back in business? Well gear up for a tear up, because they ARE!

UH OH. Mayhem shall ensue when London reaches Toronto this week. Tom Tom and Livsie return full force to be reckoned with. Couple that with the BFF’s 25th Birthday and we’ve got some serious kinky in Helsinki. Get ready for takeoff, friends. There’s no slowing down.
