Since the mixtape is obsolete, its predecessor is blog mp3 sharing. In my books at least. Don’t go getting all pissy because I’ve got the shiniest dubplate on the block. I’m sharing.

“We love fashion, but it’s going so fast” is what headed Viktor & Rolf’s inspiration behind their Fall 2008 RTW line. Moot, considering the entire fashion industry debuts lines 2 seasons in advance, but I get what they’re trying to say; and the way they said it is too good for words. Check it:

A 6 alarm fire (17 pumpers, 6 aerials, 2 squads, 6 district chiefs, 1 platoon, 1 division commander, 1command vehicle, 2 air supply truck, 1 hazardous materials truck) blazed through Toronto’s Queen West this morning, destroying the entire city block between Bathurst and Portland. The city’s recent blast of stealthy winds and icy conditions only made the blaze that much more difficult to control. Queen West has recently been marked a heritage area, so let’s hope the city takes it upon themselves to help reconstruct the area in a just manner while maintaining its historical integrity. There’s nothing to salvage, unfortunately. No shoes stores were destroyed. I hope the crazy guy with the shopping cart got out okay.

While I dream of days gone by, I can’t help but also anticipate the future. London next. New York to follow. It’s the year of travel, folks – and I’m walking, not running.

Otherwise known as the ‘Dhoti’. A traditional form of menswear garment in South Asia – now seen traipsed across 2008 Spring Ready to Wear collections. I’m not sure what’s drawing me to the pant – but i think it has something to do with my formidable youth spent as a rav0r! coupled with my [all] skinny jeans collection.

Sure, they’ll be played by fall – but I don’t give a fuuuug.

No better way to kick off a trip to LA then to arrive in LAS VEGAS! [?] Yes. Of course we were snowed in for a potential 3 days. So we picked ourselves up by our hung over mess and booked a redeye(not true just wanted to say that) to fucken Vegas baby yeah! We stayed max 2 hours. During them, we were asked to attend Pure at least 5 times, we didn’t gamble and then we GOT THE FUG OUT.

Onwards to the Ramada on North Vermont, LA. Bitches in the hospitality industry really don’t give a shit. We hightailed our asses into our best Sunday dresses *sans bonnets* and hit up Hollywood Blvd (of course). I really wish someone had warned me that California is built vertically. After booze and, ahem, more booze – we ended up in a VIP washroom at Avalon. Or so we were told. It was probs the toilet at a Chevron. But nonetheless – pictures ensued. PLUR.

The following morning we ate at IHOP and shopped in Hollywood (Stussy and hightops satisfaction). Then we mustered all we had and did Venice Beach, Santa Monica and climaxed in San Diego – where life finally slowed down. LA left us with a hollow feeling and yachting, of course, cured us of our emptiness. Coors light filled the void. HEY. Don’t judge.

After a few days of shopping, beaching, breezing and all around girly fun, we longed for more LA. So back we went with no overnight accommodations, but a rave to the grave. We somehow found the perfect combination of 79% Dubstep and 81% Dance Music!!! We came, we saw, we passed out on LAX airport carpet and then got the fuck out of California never to return again.

The End.
