Digging through some old photos has prompted a flashback post.  Nothing like some pho after a night at the cluuub.

Considering I’m on a self imposed ‘travel freeze’, Montreal appeased my appetite for travel/wallet destruction and has kept me satiated most of the year.  Check out my photos of some notable sights and sounds around town from my May visit for Mutek.

Another Tuesday, another Vintage Jewelry sale, right?  Wrong.  Alynne, artistically known as a.marie beefed the estrogen fest up with tiny sandwhiches and cocktails at her abode.  Best!  I know you’re drooling, so you can also check out her EstyStore.

RuskoFlyer

Rusko returns tomorrow for some Monday night debauchery.  If you were one of the sorry suckers stuck in line all night the last time Rusko was here you’re in luck!  Hangover Tuesday here I come.  Oh and check out how pretty the flyer is.

valentine

What does Valentine’s Day mean to you?  Yearly I let cynicism get the best of me, but oh no, not this year.  I’m going to revel in all that is lustrous, velvety and scarlet.  Yes, for this short frigid month I’ll distract myself with cinnamon hearts, red wine, and the above pictured items.  Because everyone deserves a little indulgence sometimes.

I pretty well squealed with delight after seeing this. Filmed using hidden camera’s at London’s Liverpool Station, T-Mobile’s ad shows 400 dancers exploding into choreographed renditions while passerby’s had no clue what the EFF was going on.  Brilliant.

New places, new people, resolutions, resolves – whatever your new year mantra may be,  make sure it’s filled with health and happiness.  Mine to start is filled with about twice as many beers as I’m used to and if you haven’t noticed: a new blog theme!!  I hope you enjoy it because last night my usual sexy dreams we’re replaced with dreams of CSS coding (brutal) as I’ve been struggling with getting this up by the end of the weekend.  My poor macbook almost took a beating.  I cooled off from coding hell yesterday with a brisk trip to Smoke’s Poutinerie - the new essential spot to hit for a myocardial infarction in this great city.  While it’s not the best I’ve tried, i’d definitely hit it again after a night of drunken misjudgement and beer fueled starvation.  Hey, I know my patterns, alright.

Another year, another fantastic birthday.  Thanks, friends!  After a superb dinner at Taro Grill we scurried to Wrongbar for some Fake Blood, hence the undernoted bloody balloon.  Dress code:  high waisted jeans, leather blazer, cut out booties and bitching attitude.  It seems all my birthday treats ended up being dark dark and darker.  I was gifted the pictured booties in black along with the black leather blazer and big slouchy oversized Wilfred cardigan.  Dark like the season, warm like your blood.
