Considering I’m on a self imposed ‘travel freeze’, Montreal appeased my appetite for travel/wallet destruction and has kept me satiated most of the year. Check out my photos of some notable sights and sounds around town from my May visit for Mutek.

Another year, another fantastic birthday. Thanks, friends! After a superb dinner at Taro Grill we scurried to Wrongbar for some Fake Blood, hence the undernoted bloody balloon. Dress code: high waisted jeans, leather blazer, cut out booties and bitching attitude. It seems all my birthday treats ended up being dark dark and darker. I was gifted the pictured booties in black along with the black leather blazer and big slouchy oversized Wilfred cardigan. Dark like the season, warm like your blood.
You may or may not have noticed a significant drop in fashion related musings at the yourbadmeaculpa homebase. This is because much of my fashion discourse has been directed towards a new up and coming venture, LabeLife. That’s not to say fashion content will be completely void on yourbadmeaculpa, but it does open the door for other conversations.

I’m inching by today on Cold & Sinus medication and think I may have gotten some hairspray in my coffee this morning so things are extra loopy, simply put. Let’s wait for tonight’s MADNESS by kicking back and listening to my current favorite - the Pointer Sisters – Automatic.

We listened to this remix by Toronto barnburners Nacho Lovers so hard our leg started bleeding. Seriously. We would take a photo of it for proof but Pete might get grossed out, he gets faint at the sight of blood, and if he faints we will end up doing all the blogging all day and shirking our other duties such as “drinking promo Bustelo cafe con leches” and “editing the magazine text before it goes to the printer.” Speaking of the magazine: Nacho Lovers made this stupendous mix exclusively for the FADER, correspondent to the Vinyl Archaeology (topic: acid house) they penned for FADER 57.
